Which version depends on your operating system (details below). This component is often already present
on your computer. If the necessary version of .NET is not already installed, this is detected during
installation and it should automatically be downloaded from the Microsoft web
site and installed if your computer is connected to the Internet.
 | For 32-bit versions of Windows you need to install .NET
framework version 2.0, 3.0, or 3.5. If your data analysis computer is not connected to the Internet use
this link to download the installation package (dotnetfx.exe, 22.4 MB)
for version 2.0 (minimum requirement, okay with Windows 98 thru XP) or
this link to download version 3.5SP1 (for Windows XP, Vista, or
Windows7:
dotnetfx35.exe, ~200 MB) to a
flash drive or CD-ROM so it can be transferred and installed onto your
computer.
| Versions 3.0 and 3.5 of
.NET, if already present, are backward-compatible with version 2.0, but
version 4.0 is apparently not backward-compatible for 32-bit
Windows (or at least the
Windows installer doesn't think so). If version 4.0 is already installed
on your computer the DCDT+ installer may incorrectly try to download and
re-install version 4.0 (this is a Microsoft problem, beyond my control) so
you may have to manually download and install
.NET version 3.5SP1 and then try again to install DCDT+. |

| For 64-bit versions of Windows Vista or Windows 7 the program
will install and run with version 4.0 of the .NET framework, which
normally is already present. Version 4.0 can be downloaded from
this
Microsoft web page. Versions 2.0, 3.0, or 3.5 are also compatible (see
above for links to download those versions). |

| after downloading to the Desktop or a temporary folder, just run this self-extracting archive to expand the
files and start the installation program |

SEDNTERP-related files:
As of December 2011 SEDNTERP is distributed and supported through the
Biomolecular Interaction Technologies Center (BITC) at the University of New
Hampshire (the distribution and Help files can be found
here.) SEDNTERP version 2 is available for
Windows, Macintosh, Linux, etc. The old version, 1.09 (Windows only), can
still be found here.
Note: To install SEDNTERP 1 successfully under Windows Vista you must have
administrator privileges. After downloading, you may need to right-click on the
installation .exe file and use the 'run as administrator' option to start the
installation. To run SEDNTERP under 64-bit versions of Vista or
Windows 7 you must force Windows to run it in Windows XP compatibility mode.
