bulletinstallation/update file for version 2.5.1 dated 09/26/2019 [dcdtinst.exe, 5.8 MB]
bulletNote: you may have to right-click and select 'Save Target As..." to force your browser to save the file to disk instead of trying to display it. If your security settings prevent downloading the installation executable file, you can try downloading this .zip archive, dcdt+_install_exe.zip instead, which just packages that executable file.
bulletThis new version requires the Microsoft .NET framework version 3.5. That software component is usually already present on computers running Windows 10, but it may need to be activated (see below). For Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8  you will likely need to install .NET framework 3.5. If so, the program installer should detect this and try to open a Microsoft web page from which you can download and install it before the installation continues, but it may give an error message instead. If so, there is a local copy of the .NET 3.5 installation package here.
bulletHow to activate .NET 3.5 in Windows 10: Open Settings and click on 'Apps'. On the right side click on 'Programs and features' under the 'Related settings' heading (you may need to maximize the Settings window in order to see this item). This will bring up a new Control Panel window with a list of installed programs. On the left side of that list click on the 'Turn Windows features on or off' item. This will bring up yet another dialog box with a list of optional Windows features. Near the top of that list is the '.NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) item. If needed, check the check box for that item, and then click 'OK'. Your computer may then need to download additional files from the Microsoft web site to activate .NET 3.5 (it will do this automatically if needed).

SEDNTERP-related files:

SEDNTERP 1 version 1.10 installation file (dated 10/28/2019, 5.8 MB). This new 32-bit version will run under Windows 10 (or older versions of Windows back to Windows XP). I

Note that SEDNTERP version 2 is still considered to be the 'future' of SEDNTERP. Unfortunately money for this new version ran out before it was fully completed, and development of version 2 halted in 2013 at the "beta release" stage, with multiple known bugs still present. The beta version of SENDTERP 2 is still available from the Biomolecular Interaction Technologies Center (BITC) website at the University of New Hampshire (link here).

Because version 2.0 was never really finished, many labs continued to use the old version 1.09. That continued use became problematic however with the release of Windows 10, which no longer supports 16-bit programs. Therefore in 2019 John Philo decided to port the code for SEDNTERP 1.09 to a 32-bit compiler so it could run under Windows 10, while keeping code changes to a minimum to try to prevent introducing new bugs. That new version is being described as 'SEDNTERP 1', version 1.10, and hopefully is just an interim solution until development of version 2 can be resumed.

SEDNTERP 1 installation notes:

  1. Sorry, SEDNTERP 1 version 1.10 cannot use the databases created by UNH SEDNTERP version 2.
  2. If 16-bit SEDNTERP version 1.00-1.09 was previously installed on this computer, the installer should ask whether to copy your modified user and physical constants databases for use by this new version (and note that version 1.0x will not be removed). Otherwise the startup databases will be installed.
  3. During installation you may get warning messages that the installer is trying to install support libraries that are older than ones with the same name already installed on your computer. This is not a problem. Simply accept the default behavior to keep the newer version. Similarly, if you see messages about "access violation" or "registration" errors, simply push the 'Ignore' button and let the installer proceed.

XLGraph-related files:

Note: To install successfully under Windows Vista or Windows 7 you must have administrator privileges. After downloading, you may need to right-click on the installation .exe file and use the 'run as administrator' option to start the installation. XLGraph will not run in 64-bit versions of Windows Vista. To run XLGraph under 64-bit versions of Windows 7 you must install the Windows Virtual Machine and Windows XP mode, and then install XLGraph within a Windows XP window.
